Mount Kelly is the ATS® Hogwarts –  a private boarding school boasting spacious bedrooms -

most accommodate two people but some can extend up to 6

single beds - no bunks

shared bathroom and shower facilities on each floor

If you have any spare time take advantage of a stroll in the grounds or walk in to the bustling local town of Tavistock with traditional pannier market and all amenities (including 'off licences')

There is an Olympic size heated indoor swimming pool at the college although it does have limited public hours and there would be a small extra charge

Getting to ATS® Hogwarts / Mount Kelly

Mount Kelly College, Parkwood Road, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0HZ

Serendipity has a wonderfully supportive tribal family so join our Facebook group to share your travel plans, especially for those coming in from Europe or travelling from further afield

It is possible to get group discounts on the trains and some of our participants are able to offer car space – lift sharing, pick ups and drop offs

Planning your route: map to the College

by car

Take M5 to Exeter and continue towards Okehampton and Bodmin on A30. After about 30 minutes take the exit A386 to Tavistock. Continue across the moor and as you reach Tavistock, the College is on your right -plenty of parking space

by Public Transport

travel to Plymouth train station then take a bus to Tavistock and short walk to the College

Join our Facebook Group to see if others can help with lift sharing from Bristol or Exeter airports or Exeter St David's train station

by Air and Rail

Local international airports include:
Bristol Airport

take Bristol Air Bus to Bristol Temple Meads train station – train to Plymouth – bus to Tavistock
Exeter Airport

take bus/taxi to Exeter St Davids train station – train to Plymouth – bus to Tavistock
OR

London Heathrow Airport

take Heathrow Express train to London Paddington (15 minutes) – train from London Paddington to Plymouth  – bus to Tavistock

Heathrow Express Tickets are cheaper if purchased online 90 days or 30 days in advance – group discounts available

Flights to London Heathrow will probably be cheaper but trains from London to Plymouth can be expensive depending on the time of day and how far in advance you can book.

Team up with others to get group discount

So check the costs of transport to Plymouth as it sometimes works out cheaper to fly to Bristol or Exeter

Other London Airports – Flights to other London airports may be cheaper but there will be additional overground train or underground tube fares from the airport to central London where you can then take a train from London Paddington

Rail Links

Train tickets are cheaper in off peak hours and purchased online up to 12 weeks in advance.

You can collect your ticket from special machines at the chosen train station but you will need the Booking Code and the credit / debit card used to purchase the tickets.

Some tickets can be sent to your phone if you download the app.

Group discounts are available

Bus Links

Plymouth to Tavistock about 45 minutes and about 10 minutes walk to Mount Kelly (we’re checking out taxis OR it may possibly be able to arrange for someone to pick you up)
